A former All-Pro NFL linebacker, two-time Super Bowl Champion, and Michigan State Hall of Famer, Carl Banks is a multi-faceted visionary and entrepreneur who parlayed his extraordinary talent on the gridiron into a successful business conglomerate, basing his company’s philosophy on family values with an honest forthright approach to every project he undertakes. As the President of G-III Sports, a company he founded more than 20 years ago, Banks personally designs entire collections of sports apparel and revived the iconic Starter satin jacket.

Born on August 29, 1962 in Flint, Michigan, Banks attended Michigan State University and earned All-Big Ten honors three consecutive years, a first in university history. The New York Giants selected the Spartan All-American as the # 3 overall pick in the 1984 NFL Draft and quickly became a cornerstone of a legendary Giants defense.

From 1984 to 1992, the All-Pro outside linebacker helped bring the Giants back into prominence winning Super Bowls XXI and XXV. In Super Bowl XXI, against John Elway and the Denver Broncos, Banks was the defensive MVP, leading his squad with 14 total tackles, including 10 solo. In addition to multiple All-Pro seasons and Defensive MVP honors, Banks, whose 12-year career included brief stints in Washington and Cleveland, was selected to the NFL 1980’s All-Decade Team.

Banks, the father of two daughters and two sons, leads his family by example, incorporating key elements from his personal heritage into his vision for the future.

“When I was growing up in Flint, I worked for a gentleman, Peter Buterakos, who had a positive influence on my life,” said Banks. “He told me to always try to give back, because the more you give, the more you get. It’s not necessarily monetarily what you get back, but you get back so much more that helps you through life.”

For the last 30 years, Banks has lived that ideal. At Michigan State, he worked with a variety of youth programs with the full support of his mentor, former head coach, George Perles. Throughout his career with the Giants, Banks was very active in the community with Boys and Girls Clubs of America, the Valerie Fund and the Tomorrows Children’s Fund.

Although he left the Giants following the 1992 season and retired from the NFL three years later, Banks has never stopped giving to the metropolitan area. The Carl Banks Foundation raises money for a variety of causes, most notably autism research. It is a cause that is personal for Banks because his sister, Shannon, has twin seven-year-old autistic boys.

Banks also works with Children of Incarcerated Parents, an organization that helps such children receive vital guidance and support. He recently increased his involvement in the program with Mark Ingram, Jr., New Orleans Saints running back and former Heisman Trophy winner who is the son of an incarcerated parent, Banks’ former Giants teammate Mark Ingram.

His concern for young athletes suffering head injuries motivated him to help establish a concussion and brain injury center with the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) in 2004. Banks has stayed at the forefront in raising awareness about the importance of wearing properly fitted helmets and reducing the risks to youngsters.

For his ceaseless efforts to help people in so many areas, specifically children, Banks was selected as the Giants Alumni Man of the Year in 2010. Banks is still closely affiliated with the Giants. Since 2007, he has been an analyst on the Giants’ radio broadcasts and was in the broadcast booth when the Giants defeated the New England Patriots to win Super Bowl XLVI.

Taylor is an executive with deep expertise in business strategy, people management, and organization development – particularly in the technology and professional services sectors. Most recently, Taylor spent four years as the CEO of United Industries Group. Taylor was responsible for all aspects of the company’s solution driven capabilities, designed to drive the performance of the business. Along with overseeing the performance, Taylor was intimately involved in formulating strategic partnerships, gender diversity, recruiting, learning and development, compensation, benefits, and the continuing evolution of the company’s culture.

Taylor devotes her spare time to giving back to the community which has provided the opportunities for her to reach such success. A deep believer in the importance of helping others, Taylor sits on the board of Beyond Animal Rescue Corp, BARC. BARC is a 501(c)(3) which is dedicated to ensuring that animals have access to adequate resources such as food and medical care. Taylor oversees the outreach and private sector endeavors for the organization.
